products mommy
...by Lara

specializing in hairclips and accessories for babies and young girls

- Lara Williams

I am the inspired mommy who began this online shop. My business started as I was making hairclips for my own little girl. I wanted a clip that would stay in fine hair, while also being stylish and sturdy. As friends and family saw my creations they graciously asked if I could make more. The business grew from there.

Now I have the desire to see other moms succeed in their creativities while being able to stay at home with their kids. I hope you enjoy this shopping experience as much as I am enjoying partnering with these amazing women!

Gibson Girl Cosmetics

- Leslie Gibson Phillips

Let me introduce to you my skin care line, Gibson Girl Cosmetics. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was working outside the home. I wanted so badly to prove to my husband that we could make it on his income alone, so I searched for ways to cut costs. I started making my own cosmetics and cleaning supplies. I really enjoyed trying new recipes and perfecting the products I used most often.

My health and the health of my family comes first, so you will see that all of my products have the ingredients on the label, and that all the ingredients are all natural. I use no mineral oil, parabens, pthalates, fragrances, dyes, or preservatives in any of my products, except the occasional essential oil. As you will notice, the basis of most my skin care products is olive oil. Naturally rich in Vitamin E, olive oil restores the skin’s moisture and elasticity. Olive oil is also a natural cleanser. I only use extra virgin olive oil, ensuring that the products are as pure as possible.

Enjoy!

Simply Natural
by Lyndsay

- Lyndsay Palmer

Many of the personal hygiene products on the market today are full of ingredients that are harmful to us. And although there are many natural products out there, the prices tend to make it so easy for us to just say, "forget it". That is why I started my business: to help people go natural!

I don't feel like you should have to go broke to help improve your family's health. God has given me a heart for people, as well as a dream to make all-natural products that are safe, healthy, and affordable for you and your family. It is my belief that our bodies will feel and react so much better by using our natural resources instead of chemicals, toxins, etc.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my site and for supporting my dream to make families healthier. If you have any questions, please let me know. I will be happy to answer them. Looking forward to talking with you!

Thanks again!

Designs by Ruthan

-Ruthan May

I think everyone is creative...even if you have trouble seeing it in yourself. Whether I am painting salt and pepper shakers, a canvas for a friend, or even playing play dough with my kids, I greatly enjoy tapping into the creative part of me.

I started painting out of a desire for a certain art look in my own home. I now get the privilege of painting for friends and family. I hope you will enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy creating them.

Don't hesitate to ask about custom creations. Whether it's art for your walls or glass pieces for your kitchen, I am always open to new projects. Thank you for your interest in Designs By Ruthan!

Handmade by Karen

-Karen Conway

When I was a little girl, my mom taught me how to sew which sparked a love for sewing in me that has never faded away. As the years progressed I began experimenting with making clothes and over time branched out into draperies, pillows, bedding items and even baby quilts. My passion for sewing even led me to complete a BS in Textile Design from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science! As I think of all the creations my hands have accomplished, one thing that stands out is little girl dresses. Now that I have a daughter of my own, it brings such delight to see her wearing something that I have made. I hope your little girl enjoys wearing these dresses as much as I enjoy making them!

Blue Leaves Card Company

Christmas cards now available!

- Christy Millham

When I was younger I always envied my mother for her varying artistic abilities. The way she created a beautiful floral arrangement or wrapped a gift with such precision and flare made me jealous even to watch. I thought I could never do anything like that!

Upon moving into my own home, my neighbor introduced me to the world of rubber stamping. I insisted that I would not be that interested but went to an in-home presentation anyway. I bought a few items and they sat in my home for about a year collecting dust.

After becoming a stay-at-home mom when my daughter, Natalie, was born, I decided to make a thank you card for a neighbor instead of buying one. I was surprised at how naturally I was able to create something so nice. My neighbor called and told me she liked the card so much that she would love it if I could make some more. From that day on I have been working hard on making my hobby a successful business.

I have sold my hand stamped cards to a few local shops as well as online. I have made them for countless friends and family, church groups, and local charities. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Dainty Lily Pads

- LaBreeska Southard

Hi…..my name is LaBreeska Southard...“Breeze” for short. I am a mother with older children. My son, Justin, is 24 and my daughter, Brisha, is 22. Both are in college at UNC-Greensboro. I stayed at home with them years ago and kept other children in my home in order to be with my two until they were ready to start school. Now, at 50+, I am a working Mom. I love to crochet to relax and un-stress from the day. My dishcloths were first gifts to my friends for different occasions. Then Lara’s birthday came along and CRASH-BAM-BOOM I am on the website. Hope you will give my “Dainty Lily Pads” a try in your own kitchen. Enjoy!

As the daughter of two very creative people, my mom's artistic designs and my dad's ability to work with and create things with his hands left me feeling jealous. I always thought that the creative gene must have skipped a generation.

It looks like I was wrong!

I began dyeing when I was looking for something slightly out of the ordinary for my daughter to wear. I had such a good time doing some shirts and burp cloths that the business idea quickly evolved. As the compliments began to pour in, the idea for SugarPig was born.
